the first post is the deepest?

some say that one should never title a blog entry after a rod stewart song, but i guess i like to throw caution to the wind. in fact, laura and i are starting this blog to document precisely that-(not rod stewart songs, thank god) our own throwing of caution to the wind, leaving our lives in the big city to travel these united states. 

the excitement begins tomorrow with a goodbye party for these goodbye girls! the moving truck will be picked up on tuesday, and we should be south of the mason-dixon line by the first of august. also, don't expect too many crazy travel stories just yet, as we'll be hanging out with our (respective) families and (mutual) friends in the southeast for four months before we really hit the road.
